I figured that if I can find the FYG windshield made in the USA, it may be better quality than the one made in China. We can tell this because each manufacturer is assigned a DOT number (1038 in this case). Just had a Fuyao installed in my 2016 Tundra by safelite. Too early to tell about durability, but the Benz OEM windshield cracked after being hit by a pebble. Just so you can get the scope of things, I've contacted atleast 15 places in the SoCal area. I just ended up getting a Vitro. Seen under a microscope, ordinary untreated glass is filled with peaks and valleys. When he gives me the receipt, I notice the comments section states rust, so I ask about it and he explains there was a tiny bit which was nothing to worry about. Good luck. Im a dumbass. Safelite is the Wal Mart of Glass, if you care about your car get at minimum pilkington. I realize that this is not the same problem as what you are experiencing, but peoples eyesight is very subjective. "Saflite Auto Glass" fixed a chip in my '06 Silverado and '03 SS Monte Carlo -----NO CHARGE !!! Safelite auto replaced it with a Fuyao for a shade under $400. I was really hoping I could get a Pilkington windshield, since my E46s OE Pilkington windshield is great in terms of quality. A cracked windshield is no good! My original 11 year old windscreen developed a crack last week and this is what the insurer is putting on. I am concerned I will never get used to this windshield and any time I drive it will be a miserable experience.

He was working pretty late creating that rain sensor outline (thanks Anthony!). State Farm approved BMW oe glass, molding, and cowl for my 01 330i after I went through 3 Pilk windshields that all had flaws. On my third windshield the shop installed Fuyao glass. I just had the Fuyao replaced with the OEM Vitro glass and the fit is so much better (and the rain sensor lines up with the top of the roof now so the cover can be put on). Avoid outside interference from distracting the driver, increasing the reaction rate. Mine got replaced with Fuyao and I have zero complaints.
